You care, you give, you push through… but at what cost?
You’ve tried to keep up with the demands – work, family, relationships – telling yourself you’ll slow down “later.” But later never comes. Now, you’re exhausted, overwhelmed, and running on fumes. Even small tasks feel impossible to face.
You want rest that actually restores you. You want to feel present in your life again – not just dragging yourself from one obligation to the next. But you’re not sure where to start or how to recover from burnout on your own.
At LIV Mental Wellness, our goal is to help you move from survival mode to sustainable wellbeing through therapy for burnout and emotional exhaustion. We offer holistic support for your mind, body, and relationships, helping you rebuild balance and self-compassion.

The Hidden Toll of Burnout
Burnout isn’t just about being tired. It’s a full-body and emotional shutdown that can leave you feeling like a shell of yourself. Over time, burnout can erode your health, your relationships, and your sense of purpose.
Does this sound familiar?
- You wake up already tired, no matter how much you sleep.
- Small tasks - like replying to an email or making dinner - feel overwhelming.
- Even when you take time off, you feel guilty or anxious about not being productive.
- You’ve started withdrawing from friends and family because connection feels like “one more thing.”
- Your body holds the stress, and it shows up through headaches, tension, digestive issues, or recurring illness.
- Motivation feels low, and things you used to enjoy now feel like chores.
- Your patience is thin, and small irritations feel overwhelming.
- Brain fog makes it hard to focus, remember details, or follow through.
If these experiences resonate, know this:
You’re not lazy, broken, or failing. Burnout is a real, recognized state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion – and with the right care, recovery is possible.

Somatic Therapy
Learning how chronic stress impacts your body, and how to reset patterns of hyperarousal and exhaustion. Learn more about somatic therapy here.
Attachment-Based and Relational Therapy
Understanding how early patterns may have shaped your beliefs about rest, self-worth, and over-responsibility, and learning healthier ways to relate to yourself and others. Learn more about attachment therapy here.
Mindfulness & Self-Compassion Practices
Replacing relentless self-criticism with kinder, restorative practices that help you pause, reset, and reconnect with what truly matters. Learn more about mindfulness based therapy here.
Practical Lifestyle & Boundary Work
Creating sustainable routines and boundaries that protect your energy and support real recovery – not just a temporary recharge.
Burnout recovery therapy isn’t about pushing yourself harder. It’s about slowing down, reclaiming your energy, and remembering that your worth isn’t measured by how much you do.

Frequently Asked Questions About Burnout Recovery Therapy
How do I know if I’m experiencing burnout or just “normal stress”?
Burnout often involves feeling detached, unmotivated, and chronically exhausted in ways regular stress does not. If rest never feels like enough, or if you’ve lost interest in things that once mattered to you, burnout could be part of what’s happening.
Do I need to be in crisis to start therapy?
Not at all. Therapy is beneficial at any stage, whether you’re experiencing mild burnout or more intense symptoms of burnout (or any other condition). You don’t have to wait until everything feels unmanageable. Reaching out is a proactive step toward feeling better.
What if I can’t cut back on my responsibilities?
We get it – most clients can’t just quit their jobs or stop caring for loved ones. Burnout recovery therapy is about finding sustainable ways to care for yourself while still showing up for what matters. Together, we’ll find realistic changes that fit your life.
Can therapy really help me feel less exhausted?
Yes. While therapy can’t change external demands, it can change how your mind and body respond to them. By addressing patterns of over-functioning, people-pleasing, and self-criticism, we help you reclaim energy and restore balance.
What if I don’t feel like I have time for therapy?
This is a common concern for people in burnout. Ironically, therapy often creates more time and space by helping you stop overextending yourself. Even a single weekly session can shift how you manage your energy and commitments.
What if I’m not sure this is the right fit?
That’s completely okay. We offer a complimentary, no-pressure meet & greet so you can ask questions and see if working with our team feels like the right fit for you.
